LYMBQ Academy
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 25, 2026
This policy explains how LYMBQ Academy (operated by Archatech Labs) (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the LYMBQ Academy website and learning platform. We design for learners, families, and schools. We are actively building stronger child-privacy controls; this page describes current practices and our commitments.
1. Who this covers
Students, parents/guardians, faculty/staff, and visitors. Roles may see different data. School or district pilots may also be covered by a separate student data agreement.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, role (student, parent, faculty), password (stored by our auth provider).
- Learner profile: age or grade band, nickname, school type, interests, learning preferences, and progress.
- Under-13 parental contact: when a learner is under 13, we ask for a parent/guardian email and hold full platform access until a parent grants consent.
- Learning activity: lesson progress, scores, badges, reflections, and (where enabled) read-aloud transcripts scored on-device or on our servers.
- Wearable / media evidence: when a program uses it, teacher-reviewed reflections or uploads — public portfolios stay off by default.
- Technical data: device/browser basics and optional analytics only when configured for the deployment.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, personalize learning paths, and save progress.
- Support teachers and (with appropriate permissions) parents.
- Operate safety features such as under-13 parental consent holds.
- Improve curriculum quality using aggregated or de-identified signals where possible.
- Communicate about the account, security, or program updates.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use student data for targeted advertising.
4. Children under 13 (COPPA)
We collect limited information from under-13 learners to run the educational service and require a parent/guardian email plus parental consent before unlocking the full student experience. Today’s verification uses a parent account and a one-time consent code. We are working toward additional verifiable parental consent methods and school-managed roster flows. We do not claim full COPPA certification until those controls, notices, and contracts are complete.
5. Schools and FERPA
When schools or districts use LYMBQ Academy, student education records may be subject to FERPA and local policy. We intend to act as a school official / service provider under written agreements for those deployments. Until a district agreement is in place, treat school pilots as requiring separate contracting and roster controls.
6. Sharing and processors
We use infrastructure and tools such as Firebase (authentication and database) and may use a text-to-speech service for lesson narration. Processors only receive what is needed to provide the feature. We will maintain a current subprocessors list for school customers on request via privacy@lymbqacademy.com.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and progress data while the account is active. Parents, schools, or account holders may request deletion or export by contacting privacy@lymbqacademy.com. We are adding in-product deletion and export tools; until then, requests are handled manually.
8. Security
We use industry-standard authentication and access controls (including Firestore security rules). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; report concerns to privacy@lymbqacademy.com.
9. Your choices
- Parents may grant or later ask us to revoke under-13 consent.
- Faculty review wearable evidence before it can become portfolio-ready.
- Contact us to correct inaccurate profile data or close an account.
10. Founding Family waitlist (public marketing site)
The public Founding Family Waitlist is intended for adults acting as parents or legal guardians. Policy identifier for this waitlist notice: waitlist-ff-2026-09-25.
We distinguish three layers of Founding Family information:
- Waitlist contact: parent/guardian name and email; optional phone; adult confirmation; marketing consent; limited attribution (for example UTM parameters).
- Household planning summary: number of potential learners (not total household size) and approximate learner age bands (not exact ages or birthdates), with separate household-consent evidence on the record.
- Optional launch profile: learning setting, educational interests and goals, device and internet access, regional ZIP code, pre-launch participation preferences, and optional parent feedback — completed after the waitlist lead is saved, with its own consent version. Immediate browser completion is treated as unverified until the parent confirms ownership of the submitted email.
Purposes: contact you about LYMBQ Academy launch, early-access, and Founding Family updates; understand interest volume and traffic sources; product planning; age-appropriate experience planning; launch sequencing; family research; closed-alpha recruitment; regional demand analysis; pilot planning; and other communications you request. This waitlist is not enrollment, admission, or acceptance into a program, and joining does not create a student account.
Please do not submit children’s names, exact birthdates, diagnoses, IEP information, school records, student contact details, medical information, addresses, or other sensitive child information through the waitlist or optional profile forms.
We do not sell this information and do not use it for behavioral advertising. You may withdraw marketing consent / unsubscribe or request correction or deletion by contacting privacy@lymbqacademy.com. Parents may also request access to the personal information we hold about them through the same channel. We retain waitlist records while outreach is active and for a reasonable period afterward for suppression and compliance needs, then delete or anonymize when no longer needed.
This section describes current product practices. It is not a certification of legal compliance; counsel review remains required before Production reliance on this wording.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements evolve. Material changes will update the effective date above and, where required, additional notice.
